The Cheshire Quilt Guild mission statement is:
"The Guild exists to support and further the creativity and expertise of quilters of all experience levels and to provide an opportunity to share ideas, learn new techniques, and make friends.
The Guild is also committed to the concept and value of 'giving back' to the local community and the region. Quilting has always been a bridge between peoples, and quilts have been used throughout the centuries to foster caring and good will.
Members of the Cheshire Quilters' Guild are encouraged to contribute and participate regularly in the activities of the Guild and wider community."
The Quilt Show committee has decided to add a Youth Quilt Exhibit to our bi-annual quilt show. If you have helped a young person to create a quilt, please think about entering the finished quilted item to our Quilt Show 2019. This can be a quilt finished since the last show. This could be a quilt started today in which the youngster picked the colors, drew the design, sat on your lap and straight stitched, tried free motion quilting for the first time, or enjoyed long stitches by hand or any other part of the process.
The procedure for submitting their quilt, the forms which must be filled out completely, and the rules are attached here. Submissions with incomplete forms will not be accepted.
Please think about passing along quilting with the next generation (any child under 18 years old) and working together on a project to share at our upcoming Quilt Show 2019.
The Quilt Show Committee hopes to highlight the "bridges" to our community that we build every year.
