Quilting With Confidence with Emily Hammer
This is a 4-week course (3/7- 3/28) In-person at the College Camp!
$40 per class – Includes a FREE quilt pattern and an exclusive Sewing Guide to help you prepare and follow along at home.

March 7– Cut out fabrics together and begin sewing the Framing Blocks.
March 14 – Continue sewing the Framing Blocks and start assembling the Four-Patch Blocks.
March 21 – Construct the Column Blocks and begin piecing the quilt top together.
March 28 – Complete the quilt top, then add the backing and binding.
By the end of class, you'll have:
1. A strong foundation in quilting techniques
2. A beautiful quilt top—possibly even completed!
3. The skills & confidence to tackle future quilting projects
2025 CQG Quilt Challenge
The 2025 Quilt Challenge is a quilt using Half Log Cabin blocks, The projects are to be no larger than 38" x 38". Also, accepted are a 12" x 36" wall hanging or a 12" x 18" placemat, etc..
You choose:
-Setting: From examples shared at the January meeting or your own design.
-Borders: As you desire.
-Fabric selection/color scheme: Traditional, bright, batik, solids, children's, etc.
-Size of blocks: Square, rectangular (if logs on one side are narrower than others).
-Width of logs: All the same, each block different or wonky.
-Due date is August 13th meeting.

The 2025 Quilt Show committee has confirmed that there will be a “challenge” category at the quilt show in October.

The Open Sew program is back up and running and Peggy Fischer is the new Open Sew coordinator.
Wednesday's Open Sew is every 3rd Wednesday @ New England Fabrics 10:00am to 3:00pm
*Space is limited at this location to 6 participants so there will be a sign-up sheet.
$5.00 Table Fee per person
Saturday 's Open Sew is every 4th Saturday @ Stone Arch Village 9:00am to 2:00pm

Visualize on the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, an enormous quilt laid across the lawn of the Washington D.C. mall, a quilt with blocks from all 50 states. Our quilt will represent the rich mosaic of our country, expressing our histories, identities, and our common ideals of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Visualize on the 250th anni-
versary of our Declaration of Independence an enormous quilt laid across the lawn of
the Washington D.C. mall, a quilt with blocks from all 50 states.
