Guild Open Sew

Open Sew May Project #1: Let’s Build on the Basics

Join us on Saturday May 30, 2026 from 9am-2pm for Open Sew at Stone Arch Village, 831 Court Street, Keene as we continue building our quilting skills—one stitch (and a few laughs) at a time. Feel free to bring a friend (quilting buddies are always a good idea!).

We’ve got two great projects lined up: Roman Stripe (Red, White & Blue Edition!)

Perfect for using up those scraps while giving a nod to our country’s 250th anniversary.

Bring your own fabric scraps this month and if you want to pre-cut:

  • Block Centers: 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
  • Block Sides: (2) 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips

Please text Peggy at 478-361-9496 if you plan to come

Open Sew May 30th Project #2: 9-Patch within a 4-Patch Heart Block

Looks impressive, but we’ll walk through it step-by-step—no stress required!
Bring :

  • Fabric 1: (1) 3 1/2" x 5" rectangle + (5) 2" squares
  • Fabric 2: (1) 3 1/2" x 5" rectangle + (4) 2" squares
  • Fabric 3: Light background (1) 3 1/2" square + (4) 2" squares

Along the way, we’ll review:

  • Nesting seams (yes, they really can behave!)
  • Accurate seam allowances
  • Fun border options to finish your project with flair
  •

This is a great chance to use your scraps, sharpen your skills, and enjoy some creative time together.
